Welcome to our second Serious Materials official feedback forum. We want to create a positive learning environment for the students in our classroom by keeping it quiet and controlling the temperature as naturally as possible. The classroom should be as eco-friendly as possible by using CFL light bulbs, insulation, and plants on the roof to keep the building cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The building should also be visually appealing by keeping the design simple yet modern.

    1. Having notes and school texts easily available on the computer

      Programs like ebeam and smart board are helpful for students to reflect on previous lessons and discussions. Also it helps stop the habit of writing in books for notes and highlights

          • A computer

            Being able to access a teacher's notes online makes it much easier on both the teacher's part as well as on the students. However, the teacher should still teach and not rely on the computer to do it for him/her.

                I think usually paper, but don't worry
                at the end of the year I dump it into recycling. In my experience, a certain teacher used the projector to show movies throughout class. Thats why i prefer not using the projector.

                    The act of writing things down allows students to not wonder off the subject and it helps keep them focused on the material

                    • programs for each student

                      I think working on laptop programs for each individual is helpful as it allows students to interact with the material. It could also help them learn the lesson more thoroughly.
